HRCE is inviting qualified School Counsellors interested in School Counsellor opportunities for the 2026-27 school year to apply to this expression of interest.

The School Counsellor is responsible for the coordination of the comprehensive counselling program within the school, focusing on preventative and responsive programs and services. These programs and services must be principally concerned with the personal, social, educational and career needs of all students, placing priority on the best interest of students.

Contracts are with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. If offered a contract, recipients will be advised in the Spring of the applicable staffing process and timelines to secure a School Counsellor position within one of our 136 schools for September 2026.
