The successful candidate
will be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and possess the following: The Deaf and Hard of Hearing class is designed for students with permanent sensorineural hearing loss who communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) and require an individualized program with intensive support to progress through the Ontario Curriculum. Required OCT Divisional Qualifications: Intermediate/Senior Qualifications Special Education Part 1 (or higher) Qualifications OCT Additional Qualifications considered an asset: Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing — American Sign Language (ASL) (Specialist) or Teacher of the Deaf Specialist Additional Requirements (experience, knowledge, education) for the Position: A high proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) level 3; Special education knowledge for differentiated academic planning for modified programming; Awareness of different degrees of hearing loss and their implications f...Ready to Seal the Deal?
