3rd Class Engineer

Reporting to the Supervisor of Plant Operations and Maintenance, the 3 rd Class Engineer provides maintenance and operational engineering services related to the operation of mechanical systems throughout the organization. The 3 rd Class Engineer will work in cooperation with other trades, outside contractors and laborers to ensure that all applicable specifications, codes, standards and policies are satisfied during the course of his work, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. The 3 rd Class Engineer complies with Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent related experience in power plant operations – required
• Demonstrated knowledge in all pertinent legislation, codes and standards including the Ontario Building Code, Operating Engineers and other relevant Regulations under the Technical Standards and Safety Act, 2000
