About the Role

The Accountant provides administrative and operational support to the Finance team at Atlantic Community Shelters Society (ACSS), ensuring accurate and reliable financial records.

What you’ll be doing:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Enter and maintain vendor invoices within the accounting system and prepare payments for approval in accordance with organizational procedures.
• Record general ledger entries and maintain organized, up-to-date financial documentation.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and maintain finance‑related spreadsheets, reports, and documentation.
