This role entails direct admissions and acting as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP). You will manage surgical and specialty patients, working independently while accessing off-site specialty support. A commitment to inter-professional teamwork is fundamental to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct admissions and manage patient care as MRP
• Provide comprehensive care for specialty and surgical patients
• Operate independently with necessary specialist support
• Work day and evening shifts consecutively for 7 days
• Fulfill mandatory overnight coverage obligations
Requirements:
• FRCPC or CCFP certification essential
• Background in rural medicine is an asset
• ACLS certification highly recommended
