Advanced Beginner Registered Nurse (RN) - Women & Children

Position Summary

Women and Children RNs are an integral part of the Maternal Child team providing care to paediatric patients, Level 2a Special Care Nursery (SCN) infants, antepartum and postpartum women and their newborns. Women & Children’s RN’s provide family centered care while working on a team with physicians, midwives and other professionals. Assignments include SCN, Paediatrics, Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) as well as initial stabilization of newborns following both vaginal and cesarean births. We offer a robust orientation program with a mentor assignment tailored to individual experience levels.

Required

• Current Certificate of Registration in good standing, or eligible for registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current certification in BCLS or CPR, or proof of enrolment in a recertification course. You will be asked to provide a copy of your valid certificate at the time of hire/transfer.
