Analyst, Insurance and Risk Management

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Analyst, Insurance and Risk Management will partner/support across the organization’s insurance and risk management programs. This role is responsible for delivering insights and recommendations related to claims management, insurance program performance, and operational risk. This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support end‑to‑end claims management activities including investigation, analysis, tracking, reserve review, escalation, and resolution coordination with insurers, brokers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze complex insurance, claims, contractual, and operational information to identify risks, coverage implications, trends, and recommended courses of action.
