About the Role
Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Supervisor, the Aquatic Program Student Leader is a senior student responsible for leading and assisting day-to-day operations of aquatics programs. By overseeing the delivery of lessons or leadership porgrams on the weekend and weekdays, which includes coaching and mentoring swim instructors and ensuring participant outcomes are being met, the Aquatic Program Student Leader is contributing to the success of the program. This also includes assisting in program development and delivery, staff training and development, instructor evaluations, program assessment, interacting with participants and parents, and resolving issues in a timely fashion. This position will also contribute to the development of recognition programs for participants and instructors, and other projects to enhance the program and MRU Aquatics overall.
