Associate Lawyer - Cross border estate planning

With over 38 years of experience, Altro LLP is a boutique law firm providing sophisticated cross border tax, corporate, estate planning and settlement of estates legal services to high net worth individuals.

We are presently seeking an Associate Lawyer for our Toronto office. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established firm and develop expertise in cross border and domestic estate planning. The successful candidate should have at least 2-4 years of post-call experience in Wills, Trusts and probate.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client issues re: estate planning opportunities and tax minimization strategies under the partners’ guidance
• Conduct necessary legal research to address estate and tax issues as well as cross border specific scenarios
• Draft Canadian and US estate planning documents such as complex wills and trusts
• Prepare probate application documents for Ontario and Florida estate administration
