About the opportunity

Reporting to the Vice‑President Research & Innovation, the Associate Vice‑President Research (Research Facilities & Infrastructure) is a FTE, three‑year term, senior academic leadership role responsible for providing strategic academic direction for Dalhousie’s research infrastructure, facilities, platforms, and digital research capacity. The AVPR leads academic strategy related to major infrastructure initiatives, including CFI competitiveness, core facilities, shared platforms, and digital research capacity, ensuring alignment with institutional research priorities.

The AVPR also leads institution‑wide initiatives assigned by the VPRI that require cross‑faculty collaboration, and long‑term strategic perspective.
