Description
The Backup and Storage Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, security, and recoverability of enterprise data across on-premise and cloud platforms. The expected result of this role is resilient, cost-effective backup and object storage services that meet business recovery objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational SLAs.
Responsibilities & Duties- Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise backup solutions using Commvault, including backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery workflows across physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.
- Administer and optimize object storage platforms including AWS S3 and Cloudian S3, ensuring durability, performance, lifecycle management, and access controls.
- Monitor backup jobs, storage utilization, capacity trends, and recovery success rates; proactively remediate failures and performance issues.
