Athabasca Tribal Council is looking for a Band Designate in Fort McMurray or Edmonton. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring Indigenous children in care maintain their connection to culture and community.
In this full-time position, you will work under the Supervisor of Kinship/Foster Care, providing culturally grounded support to Indigenous youth. Your responsibilities will include mentoring caregivers, promoting cultural events, and engaging in legal processes that uphold family connections. Collaborating closely with First Nations, you will advocate for children, ensuring their cultural needs are met in every decision.
