Job Summary
The Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) team provides mandated inpatient and outpatient mental health assessment and treatment services to youth involved with the justice system across British Columbia. The Regional Manager for the North provides regional oversight for court‑ordered and court‑related mental health assessment and treatment services, including for youth found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible due to a mental disorder. The role involves working in outpatient, inpatient, and custody settings, supporting multidisciplinary teams that address complex needs related to mental health, substance use, and offending behavior.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and licensed/registered as a Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
