Position Overview
The Vancouver Island Health Authority Department of Cardiac Services is looking for General Cardiologists to join an internal medicine team focused on cardiovascular disease, establishing a Heart Health Division in Victoria. The candidate will work within an existing 21‑member Cardiology division.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide care in the coronary care unit, cardiology wards, and cardiology consultation service.
Qualifications
- Certification by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Cardiology.
- Experience in women’s health, adult congenital heart disease, cardio‑oncology, or cardiac rehabilitation is an advantage.
Academic & Teaching Opportunities
Academic affiliation and teaching opportunities are available through the University of British Columbia, Island Medical Program.
