Casual Youth Worker / Child Care Worker (Staffed Home)

There are multiple casual positions available.  Compensation includes a competitive EFAP and optional OMERS pension.

Position Summary: The Child Care Worker (CCW) is responsible for the daily care, guidance, support and direct supervision of the youth residing in a staffed resource unit.  The CCW creates a physically safe and emotionally nurturing environment designed to assist the youth in learning to cope and function positively, both in the home and in the community. Many youth have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, behavioral difficulties, or addictions. Using trauma-informed approaches, the CCW creates a safe, stable and supportive environment that promotes healing, skill development and positive life outcomes.
