Position Summary: School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Indigenous Education Advocates to support Indigenous students in the Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.The successful candidate will:Provide cultural, language, and social-emotional support to Indigenous studentsAct as a positive Indigenous role model and promote pride in Indigenous cultureCollaborate with teachers to support students’ academic, cultural, and emotional needsCommunicate with families and guardians to promote student successAdvocate for students and participate in school-based teams as neededSubmit regular administrative reports to the school and Indigenous Education DepartmentQualifications:Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)Two years of post-secondary studies related to working with Indigenous families and children (must include an Indigenous education component)Note: App...
