Civil/Structural EIT - Transmission Line Design

Your Opportunity

Our transmission line engineering group has an opportunity for a Civil/Structural EIT for our Burnaby, BC office. This opportunity is available to university graduates and EITs (Engineer in Training). You will work on several power line projects under the guidance of a Transmission Line Engineer or Designer in a dynamic, vibrant, and collaborative team environment. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your career as a Transmission Line Engineer or Designer.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform drafting tasks in AutoCAD or MicroStation for design following industry codes and client standards.
• Prepare maps, layouts, and plans for power line routes and right-of-ways.
• Assist with modeling and analysis of transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD environment utilizing survey data (usually LiDAR).
• Assist in design of power line structures (wood, steel, and concrete) and their foundations.
