Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is now accepting external applications for:Crossing GuardPermanent, part-time (5 hr/wk)Effective March 30, 2026 The Adult Crossing Guard is responsible for ensuring children safely cross the street as they walk or bike to and from school and during the noon break. This is student supervisory work. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Principal.Examples of WorkAssist and ensure the safety of students at designated crossings.Control traffic, using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, to ensure safety of students crossing intersection.Discuss school rules and safety concerns with students in consultation with the Principal.Consistently demonstrates courteous approach when communicating with students, staff, parents, and members of the public.Set up traffic control equipment at the crosswalk.Notify the Principal when there is a behaviour or safety problem.Performs other duties as assigned.
