Job Description
Responsibilities:
Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on long-haul routes, primarily on theDempster Highway to Inuvik, with flexibility to go to other points in the Manitoulin network.
Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policies
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain truck safety and compliance
Accurately complete and maintain all required documentation, inspection reports, and delivery receipts
Use an Electronic Logging Device to maintain hours of service
Navigate challenging road conditions, including gravel roads, ice roads, and mountain passes
Manage load securement and weight distribution to ensure safe transport
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers using various communication tools
Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed...
