Job Summary
Provides cognitive‑behavioural couple therapy (CBCT) for individuals with sexual interest/arousal disorder (SIAD) and their partners as part of the Helping with Outcomes for Low Desire (HOLD Trial). The trial therapist will follow a 16‑session manualised intervention delivered online via UBC Zoom over 18 weeks, and will carry a caseload of up to five couples per week depending on enrollment pace.
Work Performed
- Conduct psychological assessment and provide CBCT services to couples with SIAD.
- Engage in case management and prepare concise session summaries in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
- Supervise PhD practicum students in diagnostic assessments of SIAD, where appropriate.
Consequence of Error/Judgement
The trial therapist must exercise professional judgment during CBCT sessions. Inappropriate judgment could result in inadequate care and professional liability.
