Community Garden Assistant Role

Join Guelph Community Health Centre as a Garden Assistant in Shelldale, starting June 2026. This role supports community members through diverse gardening activities while enhancing your agricultural skills.
Work for 9 weeks under Canada Summer Jobs as a part of a team dedicated to individuals facing barriers to health. You will learn essential gardening skills and collaborate on projects to create inclusive gardening opportunities for all members of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in daily gardening tasks and site management
• Support seniors and individuals using wheelchairs
• Keep tools and garden areas organized and clean
• Assist community members by providing necessary garden supplies
• Learn about crop production, from planting to market
Requirements:
• Be between 15 and 30 years old when starting
