Description

Elevate community health and wellness as a Health & Wellness Driver and Food Sovereignty Coordinator. Drive safe transport for members while creating vital food security programming rooted in Indigenous practices.
This full-time role consists of three days transporting community members safely and two days dedicated to developing and promoting food sovereignty initiatives. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and an understanding of First Nation cultures, fostering connections within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe transportation for health-related appointments
• Coordinate programming that emphasizes Indigenous food practices
• Organize community gardening and food preservation events
• Ensure medical vehicles meet safety regulations
• Assist clients with mobility challenges during transport
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Current Class “G” Driver’s License
