NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to appoint 2 new Infection Consultants.
Applicants are invited for the posts of Consultant in Infectious Diseases with either Microbiology or General Medicine, based at University Hospital Monklands (UHM).
This is a new and innovative development which will bring together the existing departments of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. We are looking to appoint Infection Specialists—either Infectious Diseases with Microbiology or Infectious Diseases with General Medicine. The introduction of these new posts will allow us to restructure how clinical infection services are delivered in NHS Lanarkshire, allowing a more holistic bench‑to‑bedside Infection service. The post holders will join nine existing consultants and two specialty doctors in a Department of Infection.
