Summary
The contract educator will deliver environmental education and interpretive programming to students and the general public for the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory and the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society. These programs are curriculum based, community group focused or special events for the general public. Program development is based on specific grant deliverables, and the mandates of the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society (LSFES), Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO), and Alberta Parks through the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation (BCBC). This is a casual and flexible position based on our program delivery needs during the year. Although we deliver year‑round programs, the typical busy education periods are: Spring (May to June), Summer Day camp programs, Fall (Sept to Oct) and winter (Feb to Mar).
