Responsible to calculate and analyze the production costs of the products or services offered by the company, in order to determine their profitability and efficiency.Cost accountants use a variety of technologies and tools that allow them to collect, analyze and present financial information effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**- Establish and maintain accurate accounting records for the plant.
- Record financial transactions, such as revenues, expenses, and assets.
- Ensure that data is correctly entered into the accounting system.
- Verify and correct errors in preprocessors.
- Determine and allocate costs to new products or items produced by the plant.
- Perform cost analysis to evaluate profitability and efficiency.
- Maintain production and operating cost records up to date.
