Counsellor in Crisis Services

Support individuals in need as a Counsellor in Crisis Services with the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre. Play a critical role in promoting health, wellness, and safety in the community.
This position focuses on crisis intervention and brief counselling services to new clients, utilizing evidence-based techniques for effective support. Engage in community education initiatives and advocacy, ensuring comprehensive care. As part of your role, you will contribute to training efforts and participate in service evaluation for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish rapport with new clients and assess needs
• Conduct brief intervention counselling sessions
