SUMMARY:
The Cultural Facilitator supports the cultural knowledge wellbeing of participants through grounded, respectful, and relational practice. The role preserves a way of life based on spirituality, sacredness, reciprocity, education and social responsibility by helping to integrate Indigenous cultural factors that preserve and protect the health and well-being of the participants.The Cultural Facilitator provides individual and group-based support, facilitates wellness-focused activities, and assists in the integration of culturally grounded practices within the organization in a way that is inclusive, trauma-aware, and responsive to diverse lived experiences. This role emphasizes relationship-building, emotional safety, accountability, and balance—supporting participants to strengthen connection to the land, self, community, culture, and identity.
