Job Description

The Structural Detail Designer is responsible for 3D modeling and producing production drawings to support production design at Vancouver Shipyards (VSY) in North Vancouver. The role ensures that Detailed Design 3D models and production drawings are generated in accordance with VSY standards, quality, and engineering processes, and that 3D model and drawing reviews are conducted to meet departmental goals within time and budget constraints.

Location: 216 980 1st St West, North Vancouver – this position requires full on‑site presence.

What You’ll Do

• Create and update the 3D design model content for assigned structural design areas according to schedule, budget, and design input from basic design documents, class society rules, flag rules, company and international standards.
