Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by scaling loose rock, drilling & installing rock bolts


• Operate drills & drilling machines to produce blasting holes


• Support mining advancement by installing air & water pipes or operating ore loading machinery


• Load explosives, set fuses, detonate explosives for blasting patterns & rock fragmentation in underground mines


• Operate scooptram or LHD machine to load & haul ore from stopes, drifts and drawpoints to ore passes
