Dietician

Overview

The Registered Dietitian provides dietetic and nutritional care to clients and community members, using a holistic approach to health promotion, illness prevention and chronic disease prevention and management. The Registered Dietitian also participates in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of nutrition and food security programs and services for individuals, couples, groups, families and the community. The Registered Dietitian is part of the Interprofessional Primary Care Team.

Responsibilities

• To accurately assess and assist in arranging client-centered nutritional care, counselling, and education for clients.
