Description

Serve as a Sessional Lecturer I at the University of Toronto Mississauga for ERS111H5, focusing on Earth’s interdependent systems and climate. Teach in-person to an engaged class of 150 students.

The appointment lasts from September 1 to December 31, 2026, requiring a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences and recent research expertise. Your role will emphasize lecture preparation, teaching effectiveness, and evaluation of student performance. Teaching assistants will support practical sections while you demonstrate your skill through lectures and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and teach course content effectively
• Administer and grade tests and assignments
• Submit timely calculations and grades
• Mentor teaching assistants throughout the course
• Maintain office hours for student support

Requirements:
