Join the Alberta Geological Survey as a Quaternary Geologist based in Edmonton or Calgary, focusing on groundwater assessment models. This full-time, 12-month contract role emphasizes geological modeling to inform groundwater resource management.
As part of the Groundwater Geoscience Team, you will utilize your geological expertise in Quaternary deposits to develop stratigraphic models that inform sustainable groundwater practices. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and disseminate your findings to support effective regulatory decisions across Southern Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create geological models to support groundwater evaluations.
• Map Quaternary stratigraphy utilizing various data sources.
• Generate geological maps and maintain AGS's scientific credibility.
