Electronic Designer - FPGA Specialist

Optech is looking for an Electronic Designer and FPGA Specialist in Toronto. Leverage your skills in FPGA development and schematic design for innovative LiDAR solutions.

In this role, you will drive the advancement of LiDAR systems with your expertise in high-speed schematic design using Altium and FPGA development on Xilinx platforms. You will conduct simulations and testing to validate designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system integration. Excellent documentation practices will be vital as you generate schematics, test plans, and manuals to support the development process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and design high-speed analog and digital schematics with Altium
• Create and test FPGA logic designs using VHDL/Verilog
• Conduct simulations and signal analysis using MATLAB
• Ensure seamless integration with System on Board (SOM) solutions
• Document designs, test plans, and user manuals
