Electronic Resources Access Services Manager & Licensing Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for leadership and management of the Collections Services Electronic Resources and Access (ER&A) Team, overseeing hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workflow development to ensure all electronic library resources are accessible, discoverable, and managed in compliance with licensing, privacy, and accessibility standards. Leads negotiations and monitoring of vendor contracts, collaborates with licensing specialists on license interpretation, and serves as a consultant across the library and with UBC IT on ER services, discovery platforms, and security concerns.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and upgrade the library’s ER access, discovery and management tools (Knowledgebases, Summon, OpenAthens, usage statistics, Serial Solutions).
