NWMO is seeking an Engineer specializing in Nuclear Safety Assessment. Opt for a hybrid work model while leading essential safety evaluations for nuclear waste repositories.
This full-time position reports to the Section Manager and requires a strong foundation in various engineering disciplines relevant to safety assessment. Your role will involve leading projects, assessing project performance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance. Knowledge of safety evaluations and contract management will be crucial in delivering impactful assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide input on engineered barrier systems for safety cases
• Lead collaboration with national radioactive waste organizations
• Develop and review contracting documents
• Create technical papers and presentations
• Engage with communities and stakeholders for safety inputs
Requirements:
• 4-year degree in engineering or science
• Solid understanding of safety assessment regulations
