Job Overview

GFL Environmental is seeking an Environmental/Project Coordinator based in Nova Scotia to support operations across Atlantic Canada. The role reports to the Director of Landfill Operations and Environmental Compliance – Atlantic Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and monitoring at GFL facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collect soil, leachate, surface water, and groundwater samples in line with industry practices.
• Establish, monitor, and track environmental performance indicators.
• Increase effectiveness of GFL’s Environmental Best Management Practices and awareness of GFL’s Site Operational Plans.
• Collaborate with GFL staff on environmental issues and liaise with consultants, contractors, regulatory inspectors, and site personnel.
