Facilitator, Skén:nen Aonsón:ton

Purpose

Responsible to assist with the facilitation and delivery of restorative justice and alternative dispute resolution services within the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke.

Provides administrative support to the Skén:nenAonsón:ton program and promotes models of restorative justice and alternative dispute resolution practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

Facilitates Restorative Justice and Alternative Dispute Resolution activities for Skén:nenAonsón:ton

• Facilitates restorative justice conferences to help parties resolve the effects of criminal offences, including files referred by the prosecutor for the Court of Kahnawà:ke or the Directeur des poursuites criminelles et pénales (DPCP).
• Facilitates alternative dispute resolution (ADR) conferences and peacemaking circles to help parties resolve private disputes, including family disputes and labour/employment issues.
