Family Physician/ER

Overview

Northern Health is seeking a Family Practitioner to provide part-time or full-time primary care services and on-call ER coverage in Hazelton, BC at Wrinch Memorial Hospital and Medical Clinic. Compensation is based on an Alternative Payment Plan.

The Wrinch Medical Staff provides full-scope care to the region and is made up of 10-12 Family Physicians filling 7.5 FTE, 1 GP-Anesthetist, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 2 Registered Midwives who have an incredibly collaborative model of care.

In spring 2020, the Physicians and Nurse Practitioners implemented a Provider Partnership model wherein each part-time GP is paired with another provider. Each provider is responsible for their own patient panel; in their absence they rely on their partner to help cover urgent cases and check in on critical results.
