Position Overview Opportunity for full- or part-time physician at a well-established full-service family practice that has been in Nanaimo for over 40 years. Very flexible hours and days with no walk-in, weekend, or after-hours required. No on-call duties.
Responsibilities and Work Hours Currently 10 physicians in practice, most of whom practice part-time in clinic and part-time elsewhere (ER, urgent care, maternity, youth clinic, etc.). The practice is a mix of experienced (>25 years) and new ( Physicians may start their own panel of patients or take ‘overflow’ patients from the existing clinic population. The clinic operates a shared‑care model; each physician maintains their own patient panel while providing cross‑cover for urgent appointments from all clinic patients. This model ensures fast access for patients and allows cross coverage during vacation or time off without the need to locate a locum.
