The Field Director is the primary leader for cultural resource management (CRM) field operations, ensuring high standards of archaeological methodology, safety, and efficiency. They supervise fieldwork and data managementincluding survey, excavation, and documentationwhile serving as the on-site guide for quality control and clear communication with Principal Investigators and the Operations Manager. The role emphasizes in-field training and mentorship, fostering the development of Crew Leaders, Field Technicians, and others through hands-on instruction. The Field Director applies expert knowledge of archaeological methods, regulatory compliance, and site preservation strategies to adapt workflows, safeguard data integrity, and ensure accurate reporting.
