Fire Suppression Design Specialist for Mining & Metals projects

Job Description

This position performs work requiring advanced, predominantly intellectual knowledge and the exercise of professional judgment. The role applies specialized engineering expertise to deliver fire protection and fire suppression design services that support Fluor’s competitiveness in the global marketplace. The position supports the Area Lead or Discipline Lead and applies standard engineering techniques to moderately complex assignments.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as a fire protection and fire suppression systems designer for industrial facilities.
• Design fire suppression systems in compliance with NFPA standards, National Building Code of Canada, FM Global Data Sheets, local AHJ requirements, and client standards .
• Develop fire protection and suppression designs using Revit, SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and other CAD/BIM tools .
