Fitness Instructor II - Group Fitness Instructor

The City of Abbotsford is looking for qualified, professional, and knowledgeable Auxiliary Fitness Instructors – Group Fitness Instructors, and Cycle Instructors to teach group fitness at the Abbotsford & Matsqui Recreation Centres. The focus is to provide an excellent class for all participants for physical and mental health.

Under the supervision of the Fitness Supervisor team, the Fitness Instructor – Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for planning and executing fitness classes within their scope of practice. The main focus areas for the Fitness Worker – Group Fitness Instructor is inclusiveness of all participants as well as safety. The City offers a variety of already designed and well attended drop-in as well as pre-registered classes that help keep the members of our city healthy and active. Classes take place in classrooms and weightrooms at the City’s recreation centres.
