**Job Description**
The Forklift Operator (Afternoon) safely and efficiently loads and unloads a wide variety of freight from trailers and containers using a propane sit-down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift in a high-volume cross-dock environment. This role requires operating in tight quarters at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy with shipping documentation and adapting to both paper-based and digital systems.
**Responsibilities**
Operate a propane sit-down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift for approximately 80% of the shift to load and unload trailers and containers as the primary job duty.
Handle a wide range of freight, from small to very large and heavy shipments, including irregularly shaped items such as fridges and tires.
Work safely and efficiently in tight quarters, turning sharp corners and maneuvering around a busy dock with multiple forklifts and trucks in motion.
