General Practitioner with Special Interest in Pain Management (LW)

The Fife Pain Management Service (FPMS) is looking to appoint a GPwSI in pain management to complement our specialised Multi-Disciplinary Team. The post holder will work collaboratively with the team in an outpatient setting, primarily at Queen Margaret Hospital, with possible inclusion of other sites.

FPMS follows a multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients with chronic pain, delivering care in line with the Scottish service model, which recognises persistent pain as a long‑term condition.

The Trust serves a catchment area with a population of 380,000 across Fife.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessment and formulate management pathways for complex patients with persistent pain.
• Liaise with referrers and stakeholders within and outside the service.
• Collaborate with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide integrated care.
