Geological / Geotechnical Drilling Rig Monitor

Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently searching for Geological / Geotechnical Drilling Monitors to support upcoming drilling programs. Work will be completed on rotational shifts in the field, reporting out of the Calgary office. This position is a 1-year contract and work will be independent in the field with support from a project manager.

• Field based position requiring 14 days on, 7 days off and fly‑in/fly‑out locations
• Shifts of 12 hours (day/night), plus travel between camp and field site
• Flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton only

Your Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring Sonic/Mud Rotary/Dual Rotary drilling rigs
• Performing geotechnical testing and installations – Slope Inclinometers (SI), Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VWP)
• Performing detailed borehole logging in accordance with project specifications, Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) and facies charts
