***This position will be physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) mechanic identifies problems with and repairs various types of equipment. This role primarily functions in the aviation maintenance field, working on gas and diesel-powered engines, hydraulic, electric and air brake systems including K-Loaders, tugs, ground power units, baggage carts, flight stairways, airfield sweepers. Also performs preventative maintenance and fault repairs on automotive and other heavy equipment when duties are assigned. GSE mechanic tests, inspects, and troubleshoots to keep all equipment working safely and productively. Must understand how to drive or operate the GSE equipment they work on as part of their job duties to be able to test it properly.
