Role: Health and Safety Specialist

Location: Ottawa, Ontario – On site 5 days/week

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Project Specific HS Execution Plan.
• Collaborate with the Senior Builder, Construction team and trade contractors to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations, Mattamy Safety Policies and Project Specific HSE Execution Plan.
• Monitor project site conditions and behaviours to identify risks and provide project leaders with input and recommendations to enhance safety performance.
• Ensure that Mattamy and trade contractors conduct regular effective inspections of their work areas.
