Description
The Health Services Manager oversees the administrative and operational functions of the Health Department. Responsibilities include managing staff, budgets, and resources; ensuring compliance with federal and provincial health standards; and leading the planning, coordination, and evaluation of programs and services to support community wellness. Reports to the Executive Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring optimal level of client care.
- Facilitation and implementation of Quality Improvement Plan and of Risk Management Plan.
- Manage programs and services to ensure the delivery of adequate community-based health services.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals and professional groups.
- Capable of making tough decisions on funding allocations and staffing.
- Assist in accessing funding for treatment and community wellness programs, if necessary.
