The Heavy Duty Mechanic role repairs and maintains a variety of heavy equipment including heavy trucks, trailers, forklifts, container carriers, backhoes, trenchers, loaders and skid steers and associated equipment.

Impact and recommendations, decisions and actions taken by the employee: Moderate to High

The mechanic makes recommendations to the supervisor (or designate) who will make the final decision.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls and maintains heavy mobile equipment required for site and peat harvesting work and operations.
