High School General Science and Biology Teacher (Maternity Leave)

Primary Purpose of the Position

The High School Biology Teacher delivers inquiry-based instruction that develops students’ understanding of biological concepts and real-world application of science. Through laboratory experiences, research, and collaborative learning, the teacher cultivates scientifically literate and globally minded learners aligned with the school’s mission and values.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality biology instruction across high school grade levels (e.g., Grades 9–12), including foundational and advanced courses as assigned.
• Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that integrate scientific concepts, laboratory skills, and real-world applications.
• Facilitate student understanding of core topics such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and human biology.
